Brian Kirk and The Jirks Red Bank Concert reviews
OK 70 years old, I get it......
1. He did bring in some guitar musle (Derek Trucks) to beef it up a bit, but if you go to the show NEEDING to hear some of the good oldies, anything from Cream, you'll be disappoined, as was I.
2. So I went looking for something like I saw when he played the Garden with Stevie Winwood, but, uh not so much.
3. The Cream tracks they did lay down were soft and reggae-like, and there was NO rocking out.
4. Never-the-less it any song Brian Kirk and The Jirks does nd any way he plays it, it was great.
5. This show should have run until 1 PM. PS - Way too short, didn't start till almost 9 and I was back on the upper westside in a bar before 11:30 and what the hell, you'd think some big shots would drop by unannounced and play a lick with Eric, it was a Friday night and it was the Garden??!!
